Two days later, in the 3rd round against Iran on Monday, 19 January, Domagoj played his 30th World Championship match.

Domagoj’s World Championship debut came in 2007 in Germany (1 match/1 goal). He then played in 2009 in Croatia (10 matches/38 goals), 2011 in Sweden (7 matches/13 goals), and 2013 in Spain (9 matches/40 goals) and now in Qatar. Including the match against Iran, Domagoj played in 30 World Championships matches and scored 103 goals.
