Domagoj is for the fourth time and the
third time in a row (for the first time elected in 2011), voted the best
Croatian handball player in the traditional, the 22nd choice of SportskeNovosti
and Croatian Handball Federation.
He received 52 points from the professional
jury of journalists, two more than Renato Sulić. The third was Luka Stepančić
with 26 points.
- I'm glad I received the confidence of all
who voted. I respect all the players who were in the competition. This award is
an obligation even though I know that Croatia has a lot of good handball
players of whom anyone could win this prestigious award - said Domagoj, who
because of commitments at the club could not have been at the ceremony.
- I'm sorry I cannot personally take the
award because of the obligations at the club. There will be a chance to
celebrate this with my teammates who all congratulatedme - he added.
